NASSCOM has announced dat IT n IT-ES companies which used to come for campus selections in the 5th semester, will be coming in 8th semester frm now on. while NASSCOM justifies their step saying that students who use to get placed in companies, paid lil attention 2wrds remaining studies. more or less,its true. but stil, companies coming in 8th sem means more stiffer competition as the technical level wil be high by den(8th sem). of course d quality of freshers was degrading in recent times, as shown by various surveys conducted by NASCOM and huge pink slip generations.
time wil tel,wat gud effect wil d step bring. but 1 thing is sure, we techies right now r sad!
